Spatial Solitons and Instability in Nanosphere Suspensions

Abstract

Self-waveguiding of light through a nanosphere suspension is studied. The steady-state solution depends only on the beam power and not the beam-shape. It is shown that higher-order nonlinearities lead to instability for intensities beyond a critical value.
