Abstract

Widely broadened super continuum (SC) generation is demonstrated using high energy fiber chirped pulse amplification laser at wavelength of 1.55 um. An 0.8-2.6 um octave spanning SC is generated using ps pulse and dispersion shifted fibers. The high quality SC is also generated using soliton effect and self-phase modulation.
