Abstract

Based on the elastodynamics theory this work presents results on the estimation of the Bragg wavelength shift in the temporal domain considering the influence of viscous forces. The model is valuable for estimating the tuning speed of the Bragg wavelength when traction forces are applied to the fiber free end.
