Abstract

Fluid flow in a square duct is examined by volumetric imaging using a spectrally coded laser beam. Images of scattering particles seeded in the flow are tracked over several laser pulses on a single image. The xy coordinates of seed particles are extracted from the image and their depth location is determined by colour.
