High gain broadband amplification of ultraviolet pulses using optical parametric chirped pulse amplifier

Abstract

We report on a high gain amplification of broadband ultraviolet femtosecond pulses in an optical parametric chirped pulse amplifier. Amplification of 0.5·106 was achieved, with the pulse energy of 30µJ and duration of 24fs.
