Low Chromatic Dispersion of ±16 ps/(nm·km) over a 550-nm Wavelength Range using a Strip/Slot Hybrid Silicon Waveguide

Abstract

We propose a dispersion-flattened silicon waveguide that exhibits a flat and near-zero dispersion within ±16 ps/nm/km over a 550-nm wavelength range. Averaged dispersion can be shifted from negative to positive with almost the same flatness.
