Large Core Acetylene-Filled Photonic Microcells Made by Tapering the Hollow-Core Fiber

Abstract

We fabricated low insertion loss and large core (40 – 70 μm) kagomé lattice acetylene filled photonic microcells by tapering the large outer diameter kagomé fibers and splicing their reduced ends to a single mode fiber.
