Flexible Photonic Crystal Defect Lasers on a Polydimethylsiloxane Polymer Substrate

Abstract

We demonstrated a flexible photonic crystal defect laser on a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) polymer substrate. The curvature dependences of lasing power and threshold were also characterized by bending the photonic crystal cavity at different bending curvatures.
