Terahertz Surface Waves on a Split-Ring-Based Metamaterial Film

Abstract

We present experimental and numerical investigations on the excitation and dispersion characteristics of resonant terahertz surface waves on thin metamaterial films. An intuitive model is introduced which describes the material as a thin slab waveguide.
