Nonlinear Distortions Induced by Non-idealities of Integrated Silicon Waveguides in Analog Optical Links

Abstract

We analyze nonlinear distortions caused by integrated silicon strip waveguides for analog applications. Performance degradations due to interactions of nonlinear Kerr effects, chromatic dispersion and carrier dynamics are discussed.
