120 W Average Power from a Mode-Locked Yb:Lu2O3 Thin Disk Laser

Abstract

We present a mode-locked Yb:Lu2O3 thin disk laser with an average power of 120 W setting a new record for mode-locked laser oscillators. The laser generates 796-fs pulses with an energy of 2.1 µJ.
