All-Optical Fiber-Coupled Ultrafast Switching in 2D InP-Based Photonic Crystal Nanocavity

Abstract

Ultrafast optical switching capabilities of an InP-based photonic crystal cavity are studied using a tapered fiber-assisted coupling scheme. Overall switching times as short as 25 ps were measured with a femtosecond pump and probe technique.
