Laser-induced periodic nanostructures on ZnO surfaces with a patterned beam in water environment

Abstract

Periodic surface structures were induced in ZnO in water with a focused femtosecond laser beam working in Fresnel region. A circular diffraction pattern transferred into the material is superimposed by sub-200 nm features.
