Abstract

We numerically investigate the mechanisms responsible for the enhancement of the soliton self-frequency-shift effect in germanoscilicate-core photonic crystal fibers. A direct consequence leads to the first experimental demonstration of a powerful white-light continuous-wave supercontinuum.
