Octave-Spanning Tunable Frequency Combs on a Chip

Abstract

We demonstrate direct full-octave spanning frequency comb generation via four-wave mixing in continuous wave laser pumped microresonators for the first time. The generated comb lines are fully tunable over more than one free spectral range.
