Abstract

A passively mode-locked Er-fiber laser via nonlinear polarization rotation with fundamental repetition rate of 300 MHz is demonstrated. Frequency stabilization of the spectrum-broadened, octave-spanning laser comb and application to optical frequency measurement is reported.
