Electro-optic modulation in high-efficiency crystalline OH1 optical waveguides

Abstract

We report on a novel organic thin-film crystal OH1 with high electro-optic figure of merit n3r = 530 pm/V at 1319 nm, suitable for high-speed electro-optic modulation and hybrid integration with glass or silicon-on-insulator.
