High Small-Signal Modulation Bandwidth and Narrow Linewidth Microdisk Lasers

Abstract

In this report, microdisk lasers with−3dB small-signal modulation bandwidths in excess of 17 GHz are demonstrated. Linewidth of these lasers are also measured and a minimum linewidth of 85 MHz is achieved.
