Adaptive Error Compensation for Photonic Analog-to-Digital Converters

Abstract

Factors limiting the accuracy of a wideband optically sampled analog-to-digital converter are analyzed. An algorithm for adaptive error compensation in a post-processing step is proposed and shown to be effective against various system imperfections.
