Phase Characterization and Adaptive Pulse Compression Using MIIPS In Air

Abstract

We introduce a noninterferometric single beam method for accurate characterization and adaptive compression of amplified femtosecond pulses. This new method, air-MIIPS, exploits the third harmonic generation in air to measure and compensate high-order phase distortions.
