Abstract

We demonstrate an all-optical polarization controller using the injection-locking induced transverse-mode switching of 1.5 μm elliptical-apertured VCSEL. The polarization of an output fundamental-mode was stabilized even for randomly polarized input light injected into a high-order transverse mode.
