Abstract

An end-pumped passively Q-switched Nd:YAG MOPA with a pulse energy of 52mJ, a 2.8ns-pulse duration and a M2≈1.2 is presented. Its optical-to-optical efficiency of 24% and temperature insensitivity is suitable for spaceborne altimetry.
