High Repetition Rate Short Pulse Packet Generation by Coherent Addition of Two Mode-Locked Fiber Lasers

Abstract

Coherent combining of mode-locked erbium doped fiber lasers in a two arm interferometer resonator is investigated. The spectral filtering leads to the emission of short pulse packets with high adjustable repetition rate up to 200GHz.
