Abstract

Single-maximum nondiffracting beams were generated both, by truncating pulsed Bessel beams and with thin-film axicons. Negligible crosstalk is observed in arrays of needleshaped beams over substantial distances, enabling applications in pulse diagnostics and multichannel processing.
