High Average Power Super-Continuum Generation using a 1-µm ASE Noise Source

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate super-continuum generation from 1-µm ASE noise source instead of ultra-short pulses for the first time. With the amplified noise burst, super-continuum is generated over 500 nm with 23 dBm average power.
