Approaches to compact Quantum Cascade Laser modules with integrated coolers

Abstract

A compact quantum cascade laser module is presented. That is based on conductive as well as convective cooling for efficient heat dissipation. Quantum cascade lasers with selectively doped active regions achieve better thermal behavior.
