Nonclassical-Light Generation in a Photonic Band-Gap Nonlinear Planar Waveguide

Abstract

A nonlinear planar photonic band-gap waveguide with optical parametric process can be used as a source of squeezed light and light with sub-Poissonian photon-number statistics. Suitable conditions for nonclassical-light generation are specified.
