Enhancing the Detection Sensitivity of Raman Spectroscopy by Utilizing the Effect of Light Localization in Microporous Structures

Abstract

We propose a novel structure for a very efficient Raman spectroscopy detection of water contaminants. We experimentally prove the significance of light in this structure and demonstrate detection of nanomolar concentrations of pollutants.
