Stabilization of nonlinear mirror mode-locking by inverse saturable absorber

Abstract

Intra-cavity third harmonic generation is used to realize inverse saturable absorption required to suppress passive Q-switching instability in a nonlinear mirror mode-locked laser providing peak power of 918 W with pulse width of 29 ps.
