Improved nonlinear active region designs for second-harmonic light generation in Quantum Cascade lasers

Abstract

Nonlinear interaction of laser modes in quantum cascade lasers with novel integrated resonant nonlinear optical intersubband transition designs is discussed. Nonlinear active regions with high nonlinear susceptibility are used to produce second-harmonic generation light.
