Abstract

We demonstrate the first mode-locked femtosecond Ytterbium-doped fiber laser using a carbon-nanotube-based mode-locker at 1µm wavelength regime. The laser produces nearly transform-limited hyperbolic-secant pulse with 180fs pulse width at a repetition rate of 23.3 MHz.
