Highly efficient light emission from III-nitride photonic crystal

Abstract

Photonic crystal LEDs based on InGaN/GaN QWs was fabricated and exhibited eightfold enhancement of light emission in far field. Polarization and pumping condition dependence of photonic crystal light emission were further studied.
