Coupled microcavity in photonic wire Bragg grating

Abstract

We present single and coupled-microcavity structures linked by first order photonic wire Bragg grating reflectors. Measurements show a strong resonance peak for a single microcavity and simulation of three coupled microcavities shows localised cavity modes.
