Colloidal photonic crystal mirrors for high-resolving-power Fabry-Perots

Abstract

An open-structure Fabry-Perot resonator with a quality factor of 2400 was fabricated for the first time with colloidal photonic crystal mirrors, demonstrating that colloidal self-assembly can offer new means for creating high resolving power optical devices.
