Second harmonic generation technique combined with electro-optic effect for impulse electric field measurement

Abstract

Second-harmonic generation combined with an electro-optic effect is considered for measuring impulse electric fields. Measurements with nonlinear, electro-optic crystals, namely LiNbO3 and KTiOPO4, show that phase matching condition can be effectively used for such application.
