Diode-stack-pumped Yb-doped multi-core ribbon fiber laser

Abstract

A ribbon fiber with an array of ten Yb-doped cores has been operated in a laser configuration pumped by a diode-stack at 940 nm. 100 W of output power for ~260 W of launched pump has been achieved.
