Integrated semiconductor bio-fluorescence sensor integrated on micro-fluidic platform

Abstract

A VCSEL, PIN photodiode and emission filter are monolithically integrated to create a near infrared bio-fluorescence sensor. The theoretical detection limit of IR-800 fluorescent dye was determined to be 40 nM on a microfluidic platform.
