Abstract

We propose a novel 10-GHz-order high-efficiency optical frequency shifter based on Bragg diffraction in an electrooptic traveling phase grating with slant periodic domain inversion. Frequency shifting was demonstrated at 16.25 GHz with conversion efficiency 70%.
