High power, single-mode, single-frequency DFB fibre laser at 1550 nm in MOPA configuration

Abstract

We have experimentally demonstrated fibre DFB laser followed by cladding pumped EYDFA delivesr optical output power in excess of 14W without any degradation of DFB properties. Measured RIN was <−147dB/Hz for frequencies above 5MHz.
