Abstract

We demonstrate a Nd-doped fiber laser passively mode-locked with semiconductor saturable absorber in the 894-909 nm spectral range. Self-started operation has been achieved in soliton-supporting dispersion regime, generating 360-fs pulses, and in stretched-pulse mode-locking regime.
