Terabit all-optical logic using ultrafast two-dimensional optical switch

Abstract

Terabit all-optical complementary logic using two successive time slots to represent a logical status is proposed. An organic molecular device was used as an ultrafast optical switch. Proof-of-principle experiments were demonstrated with 400-fs interval pulses.
