Excited state absorption in a strongly two-photon absorbing neat organic material

Abstract

We characterize the two-photon absorption and photophysics of a neat organic material. We show that the strong nonlinear absorption in the nanosecond regime is due to triplet-triplet absorption, the triplet state pumped by two-photon absorption.
