Carrier-envelope control of femtosecond lasers with attosecond timing jitter

Abstract

We have demonstrated long-term control of the carrier-envelope offset (CEO) with only 10 attosecond timing jitter and discuss the physical origin of the CEO fluctuations and the increased CEO phase noise due to additional external spectral broadening in a microstructure fiber.
