Photonic bandgaps in metallic woodpile structures.

Abstract

We investigate the transmission and band structure properties of all-metallic photonic crystals in woodpile configurations. In particular, we quantify the decay of the transmittance in finite layer crystals by relating it to the Bloch factor.
