High doping gradient Nd:YAG crystal fiber

Abstract

Up to 3.6-atm.% Nd:YAG crystal fiber was grown with a 20-µm core by using the laser heated pedestal growth technique, which can fully confine the optical propagation modes and eliminate the interface loss for crystal fiber lasers.
