Abstract

Formaldehyde in ambient air was detected during three periods from July 20 - September 25, 2002 in the Houston Area. A laser spectrometer based on difference-frequency generation operating at 3.53 microns was used to quantify HCHO with a precision of 0.5 ppbV.
