The Effect of Varying the Split-Ratio in Two-Contact Semiconductor Lasers: An experimental Approach

Abstract

The effect of the split ratio on bandwidth enhancement for two-contact lasers is investigated experimentally. It is found that with a split ratio of 7:1, a bandwidth enhancement of 36% is achieved.
