Abstract

Experimental implementation of a novel all-optical demultipexing scheme based on polarisation switching in an SOA-assisted fibre Sagnac interferometer is demonstrated. Demultiplexing from 40Gb/s is achieved with low power penalty and switching power, showing the potential for use in high-speed transmission system.
