Abstract

Nonlinear-effects suppression by a pre-PMD scheme was confirmed in a WDM system, for the first time. An average Q factor-budget improvement of 0.4dB was demonstrated in 16-channel 43Gb/s CS-RZ repeaterless transmission experiments over 225km SMF.
