Enhancement of High Order Harmonic Generation at Arbitrary Wavelengths Using ‘Closed Loop” Control

Abstract

Adaptive control is used to tune and enhance the high order harmonic generation (HHG) process. We achieve a broader tuning range and increased brightness compared with simple chirp tuning. A theoretical model incorporating HHG, ionization, and propagation is presented to explain our results.
